This vintage 1981 America Fiue India Nova 17th Century Foil Etch Map Calendar was produced in 1980 by Brown and Bigelow. The calendar is approximately 16 inches wide x 25.5 inches high. The calendar features a foil etch reproduction of Gerhardus Mercator's 1620 map of the Americas. The map was published after Mercator's death in 1594 and is almost identical to one half of his famous 1587 world map.
The years 1981 and 2026 are calendar day/date matches, so the days of the week will be identical thus making an old calendar new again. It has been stored in a smoke free, pet free, climate controlled warehouse. The tin at the top and bottom of the calendar has some scratches and dings, but the calendar and foil map are in never used condition.
