Vintage 1978 Ak-Sar-Ben Thoroughbred Racing Association Seattle Slew Wall Clock
This vintage Seattle Slew wall clock was produced by Brown and Bigelow in 1978 for the Thoroughbred Racing Association and Ak-Sar-Ben. The clock features an image of a thoroughbred horse on the face along with black numeral markers and gold-tone hands. The image of the thoroughbred horse is a slight alteration of the 1977 Seattle Slew etching by Jack Tunell.
The clock's body is made of black painted wood and is covered in Brown and Bigelow's exclusive Western Surry Calflon material that is a vinyl material that feels like calfskin leather but wears better and longer. The clock is approximately 13.75 inches wide x 7 inches high and 1.5 inches deep and it runs on a single D cell battery. It has been stored in a smoke free, climate controlled warehouse.
