$ 79.99

This "The Illustrator in America 1880-1980" limited edition leather bound book was produced in 1984 by Madison Square Press for the Society of Illustrators. It was bound in hand-crafted leather by Brown and Bigelow. The 355 page book contains over 700 illustrations by 460 artists such as Howard Pyle, Charles Dana Gibson, Maxfield Parrish, Charles Russell and Norman Rockwell. The book is a chronological, decade to decade history of this popular art form. It also contains a biography of each artist featured in the book.

It comes in the original Metro gift box and along with the gold stamped slip cover box. The limited edition leather bound book was produced in an edition of 2750. The limited edition number may be different from the number shown in the image because we have more than one copy of this book, but all copies are in identical condition. The book has been sitting in the original box, on a shelf in a climate controlled, smoke free, pet free warehouse.

This "The Illustrator in America 1880-1980" book is in new, never used condition and is another one of the hundreds of thousands of vintage items we have in stock.
